62 seconds of examination and treatment and BOOM, CANCEL MY SURGERY PLEASE!
I was already scheduled for surgery in 3 weeks to remove my left first rib that was compressing my artery and veins, causing me horrible pain, and putting me at risk for a blood clot that would be a huge health risk. My diagnosis was severe Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. They were going to cut out my whole 1st rib, and I guess just toss it in a wastebasket!
I could not raise my arm for 20 seconds without nasty shooting pains going down my fingers and my hand was becoming increasingly red every day due to restricted blood flow. I was extremely concerned. He said he wanted to speak with Dr. Gordin, which Dr. Gordin said was remarkably unusual for a surgeon to be that “curious” to invest time in understanding one of his cases. The two doctors have already spoken, and Dr. Gordin explained the technical method of my correction to him, and answered my surgeon’s questions on the phone.
